towing garbage cans
I have seen people use their truck to tow garbage cans up their driveways. At times these cans can get heavy and I do not want to keep lifting them up into the bed.
How have people attached the cans to their truck so that the cans are tilted and ride on their two wheels?

definately funny...
A lot of my neighbors "drag" their trash bins down our road behind their trucks/cars. All they are doing is tilting the handle onto the ball on the hitch and driving slow. I suppose you could wrap a bungee on to be a little more secure. That lift device is amazing. I never imagined something like that existed.

I know a few people who do it but its because they have a drive that is close to a 1/2 or more long so yeah I would consider doing something similar in that case but otherwise I would roll it out myself.

I love the picture - reminds me of my previous GM 1500.
Regarding,
I'll never forget my father saying the same thing about the TV remote.
A few years later he would search long and loudly looking for that remote. LOL

New to this site, great sense of humor!
OP should also look into Tow-A-Bin Bracket, unlike first referral, this does not require any lifting of heavy bin.

The tow bracket looks good but I usually don't keep the hitch in the receiver so I came up with another solution.
I simply used my tie down straps. I shot some pictures but I can't seem to post them so I'll describe it.
I attached one strap at each rear truck hook inside the bed, slipped the ends out through the gap under the gate. I adjusted the strap length so when not in use the ends would hang down on each side near the license plate.
When I go to use them, I side the hanging hooks away from the license plate and attach each hook from the underside to the center of the trash can. Then I tilt the trash can.
Very simple, quick, and easily adjustible if you want more tilt.
