I think I'll give them another day or so before calling/emailing. I'm not in too much of a rush but I agree, it should not be so hard to get them out and shipped!

So for headlights on my 06 I need H13 hi/low? Correct
For my round fog lights 9140? This corresponds to the H10 bulb DDM offers

Is this correct?? With no worries about melting my stock housings??
Shouldn't melt anything as both your headlights and fogs will actually be at less wattage than the halogen bulbs that are in the truck.

Joe and Aaron, Would either of you, or both, mind posting pics of where you guys mounted the ballasts for the headlights, and more importantly where you mounted the ballast for the fogs?

Thanks fellas. I'm going to make my purchase next week.

I don't know anything about the 9140, but my stock 9145 bulb is rated at 42W. So if your fog housing works with the 9145, the 35W DDM's should be fine. I'd be concerned if you try running 55W in there though.

I put my hand on the little square plastic housings on my SD... they're only warm with the 35W units.

If I'm not mistaken, the stock low/highbeams in the headlights are 45/55W, so either 35/55W bulb should work with no mods to the existing wiring.

Well, I just gave them a call inquiring about my order and when it would ship and apparently they take about 7-10 days to even ship things out during their "high volume time". Seems a little crazy for just having to throw some lights in a box but what can ya do. Hopefully they'll go out soon. So just a heads up...don't expect to get them quickly haha

Well then...sounds like paying for anything more than ground shipping is just a waste of money. If it takes 7-10 just to hit the box, then 5 days vs. 3 for an additional $10 or so just doesn't add up for me.
Good to know!

I'm reading on the DDM site for the DDM HID Kit Slim Ballast (35W or 55W) - Temporarily out of Stock HID Kits for any car, truck, or SUV. So this may be why it's taking so long for people to get theirs. It also states as of 1/1/11, kits will increase by $5.

Otherwise, I like this price and may just have to experiment.

So 2006 F150:

H13 Hi/Lo - 35W - 5000K for the headlights
9145 or H10 - 35W 5000K for the fog light

Correct?

Well..I just shot them an email considering when I ordered the lights they were in stock and now they're out of stock and still haven't shipped. I'm a little concerned I won't be seeing these lights for a while...

Anyway, that is the correct one for the headlights and I believe it's the correct fog too. I don't have stock fogs on my truck though so someone else will have to comment on that.

Thanks Doug for the HL info! Will wait for someone who's done the mod of the fogs to chime in on the correct bulb.

According to DDM's site, the 9145 corresponds to the H10

Cool! Appreciate the help Chandler!

So H13 hi/lo for the HL and H10 for the FL it is (when they get in stock that is).

You're welcome Justin.
I think I'm going to hold off on the HIDs for the time being and put that money towards a tuner for the SCrew.
At least I know what I need now. Thanks everyone for the input!!

Sounds like we're at the same place in terms of mods..Except I splurged and sent my Edge out for custom tunes and bought the HIDS. Who needs money anyway?

Ha, yep we are.
I just put new rubber on the Ox last month, to the tune of $1300+ and the wife almost had a heart attack. She's not an enthusiast by any means (she actually doesn't even know how to unlatch the hood on her Civic) so when it comes to "mods" I have to be creative, patient, and need to have good reason. I think the tuner will be easier to explain as compared to the HIDs.
