ok guys...thinking about converting my truck to carb.the tranny in it is slipping anyway(e4od) but I was wondering if I took the transfer case out and got a 2wd tranny and a 2wd drive shaft from a f150 if it will all work.and what tranny should I go with.the truck is going to be a drivable street truck with maybe a 347 stroker.I'm also going to take the computer out and put all aftermarket gauges in it.would a aod,c4 or c6 be better?aod would be nice cause of the over drive.but a c6 is stronger?

 

That is an awful lot of work to "fix" a slipping transmission. The C6 is a much stronger transmission out of the box than any of the transmissions you listed. The E4OD is a great transmission when properly maintained, but prohibitively expensive to repair.

Any of the transmissions listed have strong support in the aftermarket world.They would all work with enough money and what your intended goals may be.
