97 F350 o2 sensor
#16
Thanks Dan for helping out. The O2 sensor wiring is tied together with the MLPS and solenoid pack wiring. Remove that heat shield to gain access to the solenoid pack connector. Then remove the connector from the MLPS. Now that cable bundle can be pulled down from around the transmission for a visual inspection.
Manual lever position sensor, on the side of the trans where the shift linkage connects, tells the computer what the driver selects.

Do you know which wires hook together on the O2 Sensor? I have a 96 F350 with the 5.8l and the wires were ripped off at the plug. I have 4 wires coming from the Sensor. A black and 2 white and another wire that I'm cleaning to figure out the color. The wires where the plug was are Orange, Gray/light Blue, Black, Purple/Orange. Any help will be appreciated!!

So, make sure I have this correct... the Orange and Gray/Light Blue wires go to the heater (White) wires. Black in the harness to Gray on sensor and Purple/Orange wire in the harness to Black on the Sensor.......
