Headers

If you have a Cold Air Intake you will need a custom tune. Headers vary in price based on quality and finish. Edelbrock has a reasonably priced ceramic coated set . If you have the stock intake Hypertech, Edge or most "canned" tunes will work fine. Headers will not give much improvement without other mods (catback exhaust, tuner and a CAI). A tuner will be your best bang for the buck. It depends on what you want to do with your ride.

My vote would be to leave the truck completely stock for now and invest in a tuner with custom tunes first. If you're still not happy with the increases, then start changing parts and getting more custom tunes to match the changes you've made. Take it in steps.
Check out 5 Star Tuning (SCT tuners) and Power Hungry Performance (Edge tuners covnerted to Gryphon). Those two companies seem to have the best balance of quality tunes and support.
