48 stainless steel grill moulding clips

My 48 s.s. grill moulding's are now polished but I can't find any mounting clips. My clips are very rusty and some are broken. I think the part#is 353112-5. Any ideas on who sells them? Thank You, Dean

Nobody I know of, not even Dennis Carpenter. Maybe grab one and try to match it with a universal clip? PN should be 353112-AS (or 353112-S3A)

I've never needed to look for them, but since the trim pieces are reproduced, and have been for 20+ years, there has to be something readily available to attach them. I would think a call to a couple of vendors should produce positive results, even if they're not listed in the catalogs separately. Let us know what you find out.

On my 50 I have white grille bars but I was given a set of chrome bars. Does anybody have a picture of these clips and any tips of changing the bars without breaking these clips???
thanks

The stainless trim is just a set of caps that fit in front of the regular grille bars. You can see them here in these pics. If you have some where the entire bar is chrome, not just trim pieces, that's something done by a previous owner and is not stock. That would require cutting and bolting the bars to the grille framework.

You have to drill holes in your grille bars, then the spring clips you see in the lower photo in my post above snap into place. Just like your hood side mouldings. In my top photo, in the bar with the missing trim piece, you can see the little round circles which are the holes I'm referring to.

I tried finding the clips when I installed the grille mouldings on my 48 a few years ago with no success. I ended up at a paint and body shop and bought universal plastic clips from them. They worked out fine.

LMC sells the covers with the clips but I have not called to see if they would sell just the clips.

It wouldn't be difficult to make retainers with stainless sheet metal squares and flat head machine screws.

I bought clips light these at my local NAPA to hold my trim pieces in. I liked them better than the stock type.

I just went in and asked to see their selection of trim clips. I took a piece along to make sure it would work. You could also try this place, it's recommended by a few guys on the HAMB board:
