Mustang tank installed in 52 today

I bought a 69 20 gallon Mustang tank with sender from Ebay, mounted it in between the rails behind the rear axle.
I moved the 2 rear crossmembers back & forward, cut off all the rear spring shackle hanger rivets & welded nuts on the inside of the frame for the hanger & forward bumper bolts figuring I don't want to pull the tank to hold a nut in the event something has to move.
It fit nicely up & out of the way with slight trimming of the inside of the frame rails, the stock gauge even works with the Mustang sender.
I would post pictures but even though they are on Photobucket & here in my album I can't seem to get them to stick in a post after 30 minutes of trying, maybe someone can help me post pic's, the introduction picture post has not been helpful, I must be missing something, maybe it's because I'm on a MAC??

Thanks for posting the pic's Sam, I'll have to spend some more time figuring out the picture process later on.
John, the tank is as it came from Mustang Sally on ebay, galvanized, with the o ring, sending unit & lock ring.

Very nice clean job on the install. What did you do for a roll-over vent? I have my mustang tank painted and installed and trying to figure out how to install a vent.

Wayne, ………….ever wonder why sometimes the dinosaurs (like me) ask that you put your year and model in you signature, if you have a 48-50 then metal bed floor and 51-52 wood boards, right, then it makes a difference if you have your box on or floor in depending on the year?

Anyways, I went down to the unheated shop and took some poor flash pictures of my roll over vent install. Carefully and slowly drilled (unused new tank) with masking tape around the hole and mega grease to catch the chips, it screwed in tight but most importantly…………………JB weld is your friend.

(Daytona f1, ….Merry Christmas!)

Just out of curiosity, what is the reason for using a Mustang tank, and placing it underneath? Is it just to get the tank/bomb out from behind the seat, like on my year truck?Or is it hard to find replacement tanks?Inquiring minds want to know!

Still looking, thinking of using the inline unit below, currently I ran the vent hose from the side of the filler up into the stake pocket.
