home-made leveling kit

first off, yes i searched, didn't find the info i want.

if i were to remove the 2" blocks in the rear of my '99 F250 CC SB 4x4, would my truck sit level? i run 285/75r16 on the oem alluminum wheels (15x7).

May run the risk of the rear tires rubbing the inside of the wheel well under heavy load.

if you really want to do it check on getting some 2'' drop shackles for the rear. they should be pretty cheap, probably around $50. they will lower your ride height without affecting the suspensions minimum ride height, meaning that when the suspension is completely bottomed out the axle centerline will still be the same distance from the fenderwells as stock. they will, however, limit your suspensions overall travel, meaning that if you now have say 6'' between your bumpstops and rear axle, then you have 6'' of uptravel. if you install 2'' drop shackles you will then have only 4'' between your bumpstops and rear axle, which limits your uptravel to 4''. not a huge sacrifice, but the suspension will bottom out somewhat easier. hope i explained it clearly enough. by the way, i think it is sacrelige to lower a superduty, but it is your truck. to each his own. or hers i guess.
