My dad was driving his 95 F-350 on the highway about 55-65 mph. He had just left the house got on the ramp and the water in fuel light came on. He keep driving and then the fuel filter light came on about 2 miles later. He knew it was coming, the engine quit. He walked home bought a new filter put it in and tried to start it. it wouldnt start. it would turn and seemed like 1 maybe 2 cyclinders were firing. He called me, and i came and towed it back to the house. I have it plugged in but its a little cold out (about 30) so i am going to wait til this weekend when its almost 40-45 degrees out, and then try to start it. I told him later that he has to drain it but he seems to think he does not. is it just a matter of draining the bowl or is there something majorly wrong? Did water get in the injectors?

 

It might have got a little air in the line while changing the filter.

 

i think its the fuel pump. Would a fuel pump leak first and then stop working? because i think it was leaking, it was hard to see what exactly was leaking but we think it was the fuel pump. he went to start it today and the bowl had very little fuel in it. He put some k-1 in it and tried to start it but it did the same thing. if it is the fuel pump anyone have some tips as to how i would get it off? My dad says it looks complex.
