Life Expectantancy for Timing Chains 5.4 3v

How long are the timing chains supposed to last? I have the timing cover off my 2005 5.4 to change the famous cam phasers. It has 105K on it. Should I change the chains too?
Thanks,
JWR

I'm just guessing as I don't have a 3 valve but, at 105k it wouldn't hurt and would be a bit of insurance. You already have a lot of the work done already.

Gotta agree wholeheartedly with Moto Mel here----change the chains since you've gone this far already. Nothing more scarey to me than re-using parts that are such a pain to get to initially. The cost of parts is somewhat insignificant compared to all the labor and piece of mind fresh internal parts gives.
