Really if I think about it. That truck has been sitting in that spot for probably 30 years. The hood is in excellent shape. I'm going to wait until I get it inside and take the fenders and grill off before I decide what to do with anything. I want to compare the fender to the ones that are on my truck as well. My driver side fender has that Elvis grin thing going on it, so that may be hard to repair... The bottoms of the F600 fenders are wrinkled up a bit, but that is probably easy to fix. I'm no where close to being a body man, so I will be getting expert advice on the body stuff.
Shoot, I'm going to have to get expert advise on everything I do with my truck. Good thing you guys (and gals) are here. I would be lost without you.
better chrome then cutting out half to get a winch in front like mine..then weld sheet metal in ..that and the 14 layers of a Bapco overhaul ..(paint over then dents and rust...)..chrome don't get you home ..but the shiny stuff get's the girls!!
I was thinking about hanging the grill on my wall. But really it deserves a new life on a truck. It will probably be Spring before I can extract it from the tree roots. When I get that done, I will dismantle everything and see what all we have.
You asked about the throttle ****. Another use in cold areas was to increase the idle speed when the engine was cold and the choke was partially closed to keep the engine running. That was before electric chokes on many of the old trucks.
