Thumbs up 04/11/2010 Ride Of The Week

Congrats to Robert Trumbature, plumber01 and his 1974 Ford F350 4x2 - Original 74 Super Camper Special.

Robert's writeup tells us:

"This Truck has been in the family since it was bought. My father ordered it with his selected options. It still has the original dealer sticker where he bought it from on the bumber. He gave it to his dad (my popaw) for his birth day in the 80's. by then it had aroung 25 thou miles on it. This was my grandfathers pride and joy until he was told by his faithful yet opinionated wife (my momaw who hated the truck) he was to old to drive it (after going to the store to get his cigars and knocking a car mirror off while pulling in to park). He only put around 27 thou miles on it and now I have it, the same skinny kid that used to ride on top of the seat by the back glass as a kid, only not so skinny anymore. I still have to buy it from my father, that was the only way to keep it in the family. well hope you enjoyed the short version of the history of a Ford that made me a fan for life."

460 automatic 4x2
Interior: Blavk Vinyl
Exterior: Black(orig.paint) silver%2
Mileage: 52945
Modifications
rims are smaller
Mirrors are smaller(still have the originals to both)

Appreciate it!! All the good looks it has, was due to Grandfather taking care of it. I just keep it maintained, and started cleaning engine compartment and components. But still VERY proud of it.

It is nice to see it kept in the family. I was raised on Ford trucks and I'd love to have my Dad's '72 4X2.

Thanks, I love it, but all the credit goes to my grandpa for being so PICKY about what happened to it. I just took over the trait to continue the legacy
