7.3L F250 Radiator Leak???

The Radiator is leaking from the top Plastic tank. Does anyone have experience with this. It's not a big leak, only a few drops and the water level hasn't dropped significantly.
Am I going to need a new radiator or is it repairable?
Thanks.

I'm in the same boat and unfortunately I don't think they are repairable. I'll most likely be hitting up Ed (www.partsguyed.com) for a new one and probably an overflow bottle as well. Don't want to waste money, but even worse to do the job twice. All new hoses and probably back to an OEM thermostat as well.

Dr. Pepper

I've never heard of that before. Are you sure it won't damage the engine. Might make it sneeze. But seriously, has anyone else heard of this. I found a cheap replacement radiator online. Only $150 Shipped. I recently replaced all the hoses so I don't need to do that again. If I can get out for $150 I'm happy but If a handful of Pepper really does work, then Hell, I'm all for it.

pepper

It does work. Also if your dog breaks its toe nails and they are bleeding take a handfull of pepper and hold the toes in it and the bleeding will stop. For the rad I have used it on a Jimmy diesel with no problem, was shown to me by a native who worked for me. Indian magic?? Note it was the rad that was leaking but whats a handfull of pepper!!

The "plastic tank" you are referring to, is it the "degas" bottle? I would not call that the radiator? I'm just trying to ensure you get the correct parts.
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 Here's Ed's site looks like he sells the resevoir for alot cheaper than your new radiator?

For best results you need 70° F ambient temperature for at least one hour + allow the full curing time.

I use the smallest possible drill, on each end of the crack, this is called stop drilling.
Clean the surface with brake clean.
Rough the surface with 80 grit sand paper.
Blow it off with a can of dry air (computer store).
Then use one of these products.
