I have at least two good pairs that were removed from the frame and another pair that's still attached to a frame.

Here's one pair.

You'll likely also need a stock transmission crossmember if yours is cut to fit the transmission.

Ilya, are those from a '52? I think so, the earlier (48-51) are more angular. The '52's are different to clear the new OHV 6, and use a unique motor mount, one that is hard to find. Not sure if you can switch the 52 pieces into an earlier frame without drilling new holes??

Is it reasonable to assume they would be different between an F1 and the larger series trucks?

Sorry, I had it backwards; those are the early style, it's '52's that are angular

The other giveaway on the '52 braces is the bolt holes for the steel perch adapters for the V8. I'd have to look at mine to see if there are 2 or 3 holes. They are probably 3/8".

There should be three holes. I have those perches, because I removed them from my 52 when I installed the OHV back in after I pulled the flathead.

Those of you with '52's, are your perches missing one rivet? A long, long time ago there was a thread on the old MSN flathead board about those perches. Turns out none of them had the rear rivet. Another piece of Ford trivia...

Mine were bolted in because the PO added them when he installed the 239.

I'll have to poke my head under the hood the next time I'm over by the storage barn and take a look and maybe a pic. I'm wanting to think that mine are bolted instead of riveted, but I could be wrong. It's been quite awhile since I've paid that much attention to them. Riveted would make more sense. I know it was originally a V8 truck and still is.

51PanelMan... those look a little beat up or is that just the lighting? If they are in good condition are you interested in selling? Also, I forgoot to mention I will need a transmission crossmember as well if anyone has a spare....

It's just the lighting. I have another set as well. They're of no use to me and I've been saving them for you. Email me at modelking2000 at hotmail dot com (obviously no spaced and replace the at and dot with @ and .).

Good luck on the transmission crossmember. They're hard to find. The Model A and rat/hot rod guys are also after them.

F1 Center crossmember - THE H.A.M.B.

I noticed this one on the HAMB. Seems a tad steep in price, but what do I know? I hadn't really ever paid attention, but I had never realized that there is a spot on the right side of these crossmembers for the master cylinder as well (assuming for foreign countries?).

I looked at the spare 52 frame section that I have. It was a 6 cyl, but someone has removed the original perches and installed other motor mounts. However, I can only see remnants of only two rivets per side. I cannot see the other rivet locations.

View from the underside. You can see where the new motor mount is bolted.

I'll have to check my 52 Panel to see if the motor mount perches have three or four mounting holes. I'm suspecting the originals had four and that the non-stock motor mounts on the spare frame pictured above were bolted through the holes for the original perches.

That is a bit steep, but it's one of those parts that is not readily available. Like I mentioned earlier, it's a desired part for other builders. Supply vs demand pricing.

Whenever I had any, I had no problems selling them at about $75 each. $120 may seem like a high price, but you never know when the next one will come along.

I saw that hamb ad before, too and thought it was steep as well.

So much for giving mine away, lol.
