"head"ache f250 SD
I have a 2002 F250 super duty with 5.4, I've blown a total of 4 plugs, recently I decided to replace all plugs and when I got to cyl #3 it was sealed off with something, I've never heard of this n most people tell me it's impossible yet I've driven this truck for 3 yrs on 7 cyl and never knew it, it ran great but a few weeks ago I was giving a jumpstart to someone and the truck sat on a steep incline for close to an hour then when I started the truck it sounded horrible stuttering shaking and when I press the gas pedal it wanted to fall on it's face so I feathered the throttle to keep it running back home into the garage and the next day is when I went through all the plugs. So now I'm checking prices on engines, heads trying to figure what the best route will be, I'm having problems finding heads and info thats reasonable I came across a set of heads from an 03'- same engine, vehicle, super duty so can anyone tell me if the 03' 5.4 SD heads change over to my 02' 5.5 SD? and if there are any ?'s about this let me know, I've managed to get pics of the #3 cyl that is blocked off. At this point I'm lost id like to find the engineer that designed these junk aluminum heads and all ford company people that kept these heads from being recalled and take them to the top of a really tall building and give em wings!!

Did you buy it new?
If not,
the previous owner probably had a plug blow and used the temp fix that is out there.
It some-kind of plug to plug the plug hole till it gets fixed. And they probably sold the truck instead of fixing it..lol
As for the heads.
I'm not sure what year the F-250 with the 5.4 went to a PI head. But if it's has PI heads. All the 2V PI heads are the same.
