1966 F250 Tail Lights
What did the 1966 Tail Lights of an F250 look like where they all red? Was there a back-up light included in the tail light assembly? My 66 F250 does not have a back-up light in it and it is all red and only 1 bulb. Does anyone have the "bucket" assembly that will fit the 66 with a back-up light also?
I think the 67 came this way with a white part on the lens for the buck-up bulb. Was 67 the first year the lens was red and white? Thanks so much.

Your description is correct for your truck. The assembly you are wanting was used on later models as well as bronks that can easily be harvested and used in your truck. Bill will have the year correct models shortly.
A new switched wire will have to be run to the rear, and you'd be all set.

Ford didn't offer backup lamps on F100/350's, Bronco's and Econolines until 1967.
R/L taillamp assemblies found on 1967/72 F100/350 Stylesides, 1966/77 Bronco's, 1967 Econolines (except pickups) and 1969/74 Econolines bolt right on to: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD Stylesides.
The lenses have the backup lamps incorporated within.

nope not a kiwi,an Englishman and proud of it,ND do you know of any stock.i was mainly thinking of uk/aussie/Japan/ etc when i said RHD, most cars sold new in uk after 1964 had to have orange indicators not white or red, being a sunbeam tiger man in my early days i know Lucas used to make both version to cater for all their markets, just another thing did ford make RHD version of the 65-72 f250/f100 trucks

When you say do I know of any stock, are you asking about all the necessary parts?
The lenses have been reproduced, as have the taillamp anodized aluminum trim (you want 1964/66-not 1967/72 as it doesn't look the same). 1964/66 trim was used on all 1967/77 Bronco's.
Where the other parts (wiring harness, b/u switch, taillamp bodies) will be found, I'm not sure. Some may be available NOS. I'll have to look and see what I can find.
If you want used, suggest you contact Bronco Graveyard.
I'm sure that Ford made RHD versions of these trucks for Down Under & South Africa...where people drive on the wrong side of the road.
AFAIK, Ford trucks were not sold new in Japan or Sweden at this time, but some prolly found their way there.
btw: The Sunbeam Tiger is the only vehicle I'm aware of that the engine had to be pulled in order to change the valve cover gaskets.
I've done the wrong side a the road jazz. In March 1999, rented a car (Vauxhall) at Heathrow, then spent two weeks driving throughout England and Wales. The roundabouts took some getting used to.

just the lenses,by the way i used to do nothing but restore tigers,i was a specialist in uk for 20 years, you can pull the rocker covers, the tiger chrome ones have a special low part which goes under the bulkhead ,the cast with powered by ford also had this, but they where more of a pain but could be done by dropping rear of the trans, the clutch is a major but can be done in about a day. you drop the motor/box as one unit out of the bottom, after removing the front suspension first 4 large bolts/brakes pipes etc, these cars are really quick, i mean cobra quick with the special LAT options my own car had nearly all these option , starting with a genuine hi-po 289 (not stock sunbeam though), lsd,T10 top loader,i still have the original SUNBEAM LAT option catalogue,i did have 8 of these but gave them to tiger friends,i also have lots of original sunbeam car brochures covering all the models even the original mk1 brochure for the 1964 new York motor show,it shows the car without the chrome side stripes,i sold my car just before i came to nz, it actually was sold to the son of one of the engineers responsible for development of the tiger,i do miss her though,i also used to own a very rare Humber super snipe developed with the Chrysler V8 273/318,mine had the larger 318 engine they only did 6 prototypes, this one spent quite a long time in California before shipped to the uk to be sold to a guy who had another with 273, i still have most of the technical drawings/history in my garage from Rootes/Humber ,

LED Conversion Tail Lights 1966 F250
Are there LED Conversion Tail Lights for the 1966 F250? I saw some in the LMC catalog for $99.95 but it list model year 67- 72. Could I use these in a 66 without any installation problems/modifications? It's not like I will be stopping with someone rear ending me with todays ABS verses a 44 year old trucks stopping distance , I hope!
