V10 F-550, wont rev up past 3000 then bogs???

I have my 06 F-550 C+C, with a V10 in it, and as soon as you hit 3000 rpm, it falls on its face and bogs and as soon as you put the gas petal past 1/4 throttle it bogs and falls on its face....... but if you keep it at low rpms and not much gas it runs fine..... Any ideas???? No codes on the truck either.

Thanks in advance

Ah, but, do you have that pressure above 3000 rpm, where the problem is?
Where does youre egr kick in?
Fuel regulator, or variable pump speed(returnless) system?

There is no return on the pump, so it is the variable speed. And i dont know where the place to hook up the pressure gauge is. We took the line off the pump and hooked it up direct and got that reading, where else could i get that reading?

You said you checked the pressure at the pump. Did you check it on the fuel rail?
See how low it drops when you floor it.

Forgive me if this is too obvious but have you looked at the air filter and intake for blockage?

That is how the truck was programmed from the factory. Does that in park and I think N also.

Agree. This is exactly how my old F-150 acted when I had a clogged cat. Around town it was fine. Out on the highway, put your foot into it, it would down shift and slow down.
