I assume you did not remove the intake to get to them. After getting mine out last night I was wondering if it was possible to snake through the back and get to them, it would save a few hours of taking the intake off.

I didnt have a whole lotta trouble getting mine out, but I had the intake off and will probably do the same when I put it back in. my problem now is the 4 flywheel bolts with a motor that wont turn.

I cant imagine trying to get to them with the intake on, it would seem almost impossible and even harder to get them tight.

Well you know transmission shops don't pull the intake to get them out . Try extra long extensions and swivel sockets and work clear back by the drive shaft.

Yup, I used like 5' of 1/2" drive extensions when I pulled my 4R100 and transfer case.

It would make it a lot easier if I can drop the replacement in without pulling the intake, and costing me a set of new intake gaskets. I may have to see if I can get to those bolts the "hard" way before I just reach over the valley and take them out.
