It has a long crank, then it starts and idles rough for 10 min or longer. If you try moving it, it dies and then has a even longer crank and you have to hold the starter until it can stay running. If you let it idle for a good 30 min the idle smothes a bit and can actually drive it.

I'm suspecting it has a bad glow plugs and gp relay. Anything else I should check out??

 

i would start with checking the oil level on the hpop before starting in the mornings it should be about a half inch from the top

 

How old is the oil and is it low? Every once in a while I run some Diesel Kleen thru to clean the injectors. Drain your fuel bowl, clean your FR screen and fill back up with straight DK.
