I think in a little bit I'm going to work on chasing down the lamp for the headlight and wiper icons on the dash. I didn't put it back when I put the new dash in.

I'm also going to reconnect the wires for my rearview mirror. It has reading lights built in, and it came unhooked when I put the dash in. Just a matter of reconnecting two wires.

Last week I replaced my broken tilt column with a straight non-tilt column I got at the JY. Column came out of a '84 Bronco, and has a really nice stitched wheel on it. Stupid me though, I was SO in a rush to get my truck back on the road, I didn't bother to really check over the "new" column...

Lower column bearing was toast. So yesterday I pulled the lower bearing out of the tilt column, cleaned it up real nice and re-packed it. Installed it today.

One project down, a hundred more to go! (I love my truck...)

What have I done to my ford truck today? Same thing I do everyday, looked out at it and made sure it was still there.
Will be using it to tow a car/trailer this weekend. Would certainly hate to look out and NOT see it.........

Looks like your dogs love the truck too Pintoches! Looking good.

I wish I could drive my 4x4 around, I am trying to chase down a water leak, it leaks out under the pump (around the inlet hose) as soon as I top it off with water (don't want to waste anti-freeze...)

I also replaced alternator belts on my dd and tightened the ps pump belt because it was annoying the hell out of me. (Plust the ps stopped working momentarily when I went thru a big puddle, scary cause I was trying to turn in traffic...)

I use Goodyear Gatorbacks (belts) on all my vehicles. They have a lifetime warranty, and are by far the best belts I have ever used.

Went to get a replacement tire for the one that had a blowout (the last one they gave me had a split in the sidewall, so traded it in). Blew a head gasket (hopefully not the block ) on the way back. Leak down test tomorrow when I get it home...

Got my lighted rearview mirror hooked back up again about 30 minutes ago. In the process I found out that one of my 10 amp mini fuses is blown...dunno how it blew.

Bout to take the truck to work, tonight I'll try and track down that little bulb that lights up the headlight and wiper icons. It's in there, I know it...lol
