1951 Ford F-3 Marmon-Herrington 4X4 Flatbed Truck For Sale

I'll use Stu's link here. The rear tires on this R32 are just like two tires on mine. I can't remember the brand. They have a large chevron pattern, just not solid like the old Firestone Ground Grips. I think the other two were the old Coop Country Squires. I had a 1956 IHC S120 4wd when I was a kid that had the old style Coop CS tires. Not sure if they were original or not. Should have asked the owner when I had the chance all those years ago. I would doubt it, since Coop tires were regional.

Barring any luck of finding some NOS vintage Goodyear/Firestone traction tires or early traction pattern tires like Stu found, I may choose the Firestone highway tread such as those offered by Coker, in blackwall, of course. Kind of doubt that I'll be using it for a mud hog when I'm done with it.

I used to be into off road trucks world big time before I found my F-1. I have heard alot of positive feedback on tradwright tires. I have heard if you order a set make sure it's a matched set. I seen some people complain that 3 of there tires were Goodyear and one was BF goodrich.

I thought the same about using highway tires if I hadn't found the Coopers. Mine will never spend much time off-roading either, unless you consider riding on the trailer as off-road. I like the STA Super Transports in our 17" size. Made in the USA too. I've also thought that if I ever find a set of 18" Budds I'd like the STA Super Traxions like in this second pic. Too bad those aren't available in a 17" or 19.5". Stu

The Tornel traction tires look good, but I will not be able to mount tires on my 1952 Ford that say "hencho in mexico or china".

Tire Tread

The tread pattern in your pic resembles Firestone Super All Traction N/D's.
My 87 F350 4/4 came new with them on , super bite not very good wear.
They are no longer made by Firestone but some of the specialty tire companys still make some on spec . The local retreader has quite a few different tread patterns , some are very aggressive they told me that they will put any tread on that I want. Contact your local big truck retreader for whats available. Go on line and google Bandag for what they have.

Have A Great Day ---- Hotwrench
