I picked up my 59 ford PU today ..Mission accomplished.
in it i found a 1961 ford truck 100-800 series Shop Manual.
It covers the F100-to the F800 and refers as the c,p and t series.

I knew Wikipedia would have something there representing the Ford line from the beginning to present.

i am curious is there much difference between the 1959 and the 1961 ford 250 truck.
Wikie groups doesent appears to be on the mark when i compare it to what the book has. for example.
this book has the 223,292md/hd,332 and the 302 data while wiki has the 352 under the this generation.

im sure its just a matter of how you group the items.

I can figure out nuts and bolts but im curious about brakes, including hydrolics, tran, wiring, dash, and engine ... hmm did i get them all?..

i know i can go in there and just look and compare. Im just wondering if there is anything that sticks out i should be aware of.

The book is great. i wonder if they make em like this any more.

Wiki is "better than nothing" in most respects but your experience is like mine; it's only as good as whoever takes the time to write the articles. Sometimes it's accurate, sometimes not. The Ford manuals aren't always what a D-I-Y'er needs, because they assume you are a professional mechanic, but they are rarely outright wrong. You are correct, your truck will be very similar to what's in the '61 manual but there will be some differences.

Just remember, the REAL experts are right here on FTE!
