Power Steering Pump Flush
This thread is mainly for the new guy that wants to do this but thinks they need two people to do this job. I did this job by myself and yes it would of been nicer to have a second person but it's doable by yourself, doing it by yourself you just get more of a work-out.
All you need to do is turn (Tires off the ground) the steering wheel a little (three little turns) while pumping the brake and watch the tubing you have running to a gallon jug. It pretty much went like this for me, turn the wheel/pump the brake get out refill the pump, then repeat. I could have stopped at 2 1/2 Qts but I went ahead and ran 3 1/2 Qts through just to make sure I had all the old stuff out
I followed this write-up
Ford Super Duty Power Steering Flush | Superdutypsd.com
I also used Mobile 1 synthetic ATF, and after doing the fluid change my pump has quieted down but it was pretty warm here today, I'll see if it really worked once the temp drops.
