When Will the 2017 Ford Super Duty Debut?
In case you were unaware, there’s a redesigned and all-new Ford Super Duty coming for 2017. Like the F-150, the Super Duty will feature aluminum construction throughout. We also recently learned that there will be as many as 7 cameras available on the new truck. But the real question is, when are we going to see the truck debut?
When it comes to auto shows, there really isn’t that much left this year. The Los Angeles show is popular amongst the green vehicles and sports cars, but really isn’t a place to debut a big honkin’ truck. It’s just not the right market for it.
The North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January might make more sense, as Ford debuted trucks there before, and being an industry show it’d make sense to show it there.
But from the rumblings I hear, the media day at the Texas State Fair might be the best chance to see the truck. Ford sells extremely well in Texas, and expensive Super Duty trucks are just what Texan ranchers are looking for. Because of Texas’ influence on truck buying, many manufacturers have announcements of some sorts there these days.
The auto show media day at the Texas State Fair is Thursday, September 24th. Will we see the Super Duty then? We’ll have to wait and see.
