Check out this old ad introducing the all-new “Twin I-Beam” front suspension system available on the 1965 Ford F-100s. Those white wall tires and chrome hub caps look pretty sweet too.

Fifty years ago President Lyndon B. Johnson was in the White House, the Beatles played at Shea Stadium, and the average house cost less than $14,000.

A Flareside or Styleside pickup cost between $1,852 to $2,057 according to Oldride.com, and gas was only .31 cents a gallon. The 240 cubic inch six cylinder engine was standard, the new 300 cu. in. “Big Six”  was optional as well as the brawny, 352 cu. in. V8.

Built to last longer then and now.
