FLASHBACK Watch a Classic 1996 Dually Shootout
It’s easy to get caught up in the truck wars that are currently going on. Ford’s F-450 makes 860 lb-ft of torque, so Ram had to one-up them by offering a truck with 865 lb-ft. Both of those trucks are capable of pulling 30,000 pounds or more (if you have a CDL). It’s hard to believe how much has changed.
This week’s Tire Smokin’ video is an unusual one, as it is actually two videos spliced together, flipping back and forth between an F-150 that is said to be turbocharged and an E-250 work van.
We would struggle to point out one bad year for an F-series rig, and this is simply to be expected. There really hasn’t been a so-called “bad” year for these amazing trucks, just different individual tastes.
The fact that Fords and Chevrolets are often compared to each other implies that they’re worthy competitors to one another. That’s definitely not the case in the following video, which shows a Ford absolutely dominating a Chevy.
