Wood Model of a Raptor Seems Perfect for Christmas
Watch a few pieces of wood transform into a realistic Raptor in just a few minutes.
Something From Nothing
We're always fascinated to see people create something cool out of raw materials, and that's exactly what YouTuber Woodworking Art does on a regular basis. So you can imagine our excitement when we saw the talented craftsman work his magic to carve a Ford F-150 Raptor from a chunk of wood recently. And as his projects always do, this one turned out rather nicely.
Step By Step
One of the coolest things about Woodworking Art is that he doesn't try to hide his techniques from the masses. Rather, he shows the entire process he goes through to create these cool car models, step by step. That's also the case with this Raptor creation, as he starts out with a few pieces of wood and begins drawing out its basic shape before turning on the band saw.

Bit of an Enigma
Woodworking Art's background is a bit of an enigma, but we do know that he lives in Hanoi, Vietnam, and has been carving wood since he was a child. His creations come from both his own personal passions and customer requests, and he's become incredibly popular in just about 1.5 years on YouTube, racking up 80 million views and almost a half-million subscribers in that short period of time.

Satisfying to Watch
Watching this F-150 Raptor come to life, it's easy to see why Woodworking Art has become so popular so quickly. His skills are undoubtedly impressive, and seeing something this cool crafted from a chunk of wood is highly satisfying to watch. Perhaps the coolest thing about it, however, is that like all of his creations, this pickup model is also pretty functional.

Quite Functional
The F-150 Raptor pickup has working doors and a tailgate that lifts up and down, and the latter even has Ford's integrated tailgate step and grab handle built into it, amazingly enough. The wheels, which look just like the real thing, hide bearings that allow them to roll and turn, as they would in a real-life Raptor.

Impressive Detail
Even the suspension works, thanks to control arms and springs, which is pretty amazing. The result is a finely detailed creation, right down to the giant "Ford" script grille and even the outline for a sunroof. Once complete, the details here are undoubtedly impressive and worth pining over for a few minutes.

Never Gets Old
If you've seen some of Woodworking Art's videos in the past, none of this comes as a surprise. After all, he's done this quite a few times since joining YouTube. But no matter how many times we've watched the talented woodworker work his magic, it just never gets old.
