Daily Slideshow: Valentine's Day Dates in Your F-Series
Even if you're Built Ford Tough, it never hurts to have someone special to hold at the end of the day.
1. Show your love with Ford
The Ford F-Series (with the F-150 in particular) are the best-selling autos in history, so you can rest assured many Valentine's dates will be facilitated with the help of America's truck. While its role will often be limited to getting a couple from point to point, there are too many trucks-turned-romantic-carriages out on the road to go without looking over ways they might be incorporated directly into Valentine's Day plans.
2. Go to a drive-in theater
It's considered an "old-school" classic date for a reason. Part of that reason is the fact that drive-in theaters are largely a relic of the past, but if you're lucky enough to have one nearby, you may be able to experience courtship like it used to be.
3. Take your date on an off-road adventure
Some people simply aren't into off-roading. They also don't know what they're missing. In any case, Valentine's Day is probably the last time you'll want to attempt changing someone's mind. However, if you and your date share a taste for biting dust and adrenaline, there are muddy hills out there calling to you.
4. Turn your F-Series into a date hotspot
Your Valentine's chariot can conceivably take you anywhere you and your date desire. Thanks to the open bed in back, however, there's a wealth of opportunities to make the F-Series a romantic host of its own. It might take some scrounging for sufficient pillows and the like to rig it for comfort, but there's nothing like that kind of freedom when you're with the one you love.
5. Use your truck's recreational potential
Many F-Series owners also had recreational assets like a boat on the side. You might be one of them. While it stands to reason that your Valentine's Day date may fall to the weekend if the big guns are coming out, it's something to consider. Romantic dates don't have to be all about staring longingly into each other's eyes you know!
6. Find somewhere scenic to relax
The F-Series is known for its heavy-duty performance and utility. The word "relaxing" is nowhere on a Ford truck's resume. Then again, we never originally saw the F-150 as a romantic chariot, but here we are. Parking your F-Series somewhere serene makes a perfect opportunity to exchange gifts and affirmations. There may not be a "lover's leap" near you, but just about anywhere works if the feelings are genuine.
7. A romantic day at the beach is better with Ford
An F-Series truck is the perfect vehicle with which to draw up a sandstorm on the beach. Depending on the kind of couple you are, you might want to go for a walk together, or you might drive up near the water and set up wine and food on the truck bed. Cheers to you... and bon appétit.
8. Go all out with a campout
It's been said that the F-150 is the world's most versatile vehicle. That claim can be best demonstrated by taking your loved one camping. Many articles have been written about the virtues of camping in your F-Series truck and you don't always need the shell to do it. Your truck has enough room and utility to make a spontaneous camping trip easy peasy. Providing, of course, that your Valentine is into it, too.
