Don't Compromise

Ford has long reserved its "heavy truck" designation for its industrial-grade models, specifically the F-650 and F-750. Restomods like "Cannonball," however, are proof that Ford's F-250 XLT models are still capable of plenty of clout. This 2015 model, originally purchased as a Ford F-250 Chassis, has been reimagined into one tough customer, particularly when it comes to hauling heavy equipment.

Hand on Wheel, Set the Sights

The Cannonball's interior features pristine cloth upholstery and an array of personalized tech controls that made the 2015 F-Series so popular.  It also features an upgraded stereo and a rearview camera. Among these include an 8-inch color LCD touch screen, USB and satellite radio compatibility, and voice-activated mobile phone access. It's an impressive package, particularly when compared to the truck's power and capability.

Coal Chamber

The 2015 Ford F-Series lineup was in fact one of the most popular ever produced, to the point where Ford had difficulty keeping up production at its Dearborn, Michigan facility. The truck's immaculate engine has been nicely maintained, thanks primarily to indoor storage. It’s powered by a V8 Turbo Diesel with an available 1,050 lb.-ft of torque with just 33K original miles on it.

Big Enough for the Lights

Originally purchased as a cab and chassis, the truck now has an after-market hay bed that’s ideal for hauling construction equipment, off-road vehicles, race cars —really anything. The front-mounted 12,000-pound mechanical winch will also be helpful for yanking lesser trucks out of trouble. And don’t worry about damaging Cannonball’s front end —its polished chrome Westin Ranch brand full front bumper will shield it from damage.

Cannonball Run

Discreet but stately "Cannonball" gold badging lines the truck's daybed —a detail that plays nicely against its dark metallic blue paint scheme. Cannonball rolls on 20" Ford factory alloy wheels brand new set of Michelin E Rated-brand LTX tires that provide offer great handling and braking ability across a variety of surfaces. They're also key in making Cannonball a comfortable, stable, and quiet ride even with heavy equipment on board.

Big Truck, Come On

Cannonball is a truly impressive chassis-born build —and really has a lifetime of work still in it. The truck's combination of handsome looks and awesome power make it a stellar find. This truck is an enduring reminder of the 2005 Ford F-Series popularity. A whopping 901,463 Ford F-Series pickups were sold in the United States in 2005, a massive figure that Ford would not eclipse again for nearly two decades when 909,303 F-Series trucks were manufactured and sold in 2019.
