Rare

The custom 1962 Ford F-100 pickup pictured above was sold at a Mecum auction. The fact that this is a custom build isn't the only thing that makes it uncommon; this model has a panoramic rear cab window and a unibody short box: a very rare configuration.

Custom Build

This custom build took approximately 2,000 hours, and it shows. Its previous owner fabricated new tubular cross members, and the original frame rails have been C notched and fully boxed.

Suspension

Keeping this truck flat through the bends is TCI tubular Mustang II front suspension, and 4-link rear suspension. This model also features Air Ride suspension.

Wheels

This F-100 sits on 20-inch Foose Nitrous II wheels. These alloys are attention-grabbing, but whether they're to everyone's liking is another matter entirely.

Drivetrain

Propelling this custom pickup is a 396 ci Ford Windsor engine. This unit pumps out an impressive 475 horsepower. All of this model's power is sent through a JW built Turbo 400 automatic transmission.

Awards

This F-100 is a multiple award winner. One of its titles includes 'Best Truck of Show' at Calgary World of wheels. It's also been featured in multiple magazines.

A Beautiful Powerplant

What lies under this pickup's hood is arguably more impressive than its exterior. It features an aluminum engine cover, inner fender wall, and custom air intake. It's also been fitted with Kaase cylinder heads.
