This F-150 Raptor is Almost Worth the $300,000 Price Tag
We all know the Ford F-150 Raptor is quite expensive, but we never thought it could have this price tag. Check out this one-of-a-kind performance truck with the heftiest price tag in the history of Raptors.
1. F-22 Raptor
You're probably in agreement that the $52,000 price tag of the Raptor is worth every penny, but do you think this one is worth the crazy price tag of $300,000? The answer can vary, but this is a one-of-a-kind special edition Ford Raptor, and the money will all go to charity. This modified Raptor project was helmed by Ford design manager Melvin Betancourt with the Ford Performance Team leading the engineering. Ford really wanted to make a creative connection with the Lockheed F-22 Raptor aircraft and matching that to the F-150 Raptor by way of style, capabilities, and design features.

2. Ford F-150 Raptor
The Ford F-150 Raptor is the most capable truck of them all. Usually, this truck comes with the hefty price tag of $52,000, which is well worth it given its 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which develops 450-horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Not to mention the capabilities that come with the locking differential, automatic shift to the rear wheels, and the fact that it can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1-seconds.

3. Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles Foundation
Ford built this unique F-22 Raptor to support the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles Foundation. This foundation focuses on exposing children to flight and aviation design. The exclusive Raptor was auctioned at the 2017 EAA AirVenture, which included a gathering of more than 10,000 airplanes in Wisconsin. “Ford’s support of EAA and AirVenture has allowed thousands of young people to discover, enjoy, and pursue aviation,” said Dave Chaimson, EAA’s vice president of marketing and business development. “The unique F-22 version of the tremendously popular Ford F-150 Raptor truck will be an enormously popular highlight of the Gathering of Eagles auction, and we’re very grateful for Ford’s support for our initiatives.”

4. Ford's Previous Support
Ford is no stranger to this foundation, in fact, the legendary automotive company has been auctioning off Mustangs and donating the money to the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles Foundation since 2008. One of Ford's Mustangs was auctioned off at $295,000, another was sold for $500,000, and now this Raptor F-22 is sold for a whopping $300,000.

5. F-22 Raptor Special Features
Ford can't just auction off a regular Raptor and put a crazy price tag of $300,000, so they decided to pay tribute to the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The truck is covered in an F-22 Raptor paint scheme, as well as a vicious grille with an F-22 fighter jet on it. On the side rearview mirrors, the truck features red and green lights, to pay tribute to the navigation lights on the aircraft, as well as numerous other upgrades that make it quite special; like a light bar that produces 1.3 million candlepower and carbon-fiber fender flares. As for performance, the F-22 Raptor receives an upgraded version of the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which now has the addition of a Whipple intercooler and a Borla exhaust kit. The with those power upgrades the truck now puts out 545-horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque. That's more torque than the 2017 Ford GT and the Camaro ZLI 1LE. Other modifications the F-22 received were Addictive Desert Designs suspension tune in the front, and Deaver springs in the rear.
