Born to Wild

At first look at this 1976 Bronco, one can see themself hurtling over a hill on a crazy off-road trail with the wind in your hair. Going airborne, everything slows down as you and your friends are all smiles at it lands softly in the sand before you hit the gas one more time. This sense of action, adventure, and vintage cool have fueled the Bronco renaissance we find ourselves in. And who better to restore your off-road adventure dream vehicle than one of the hottest names in the Blue Oval restoration game than Velocity Restorations.

Whatever Comes Our Way

This Bronco’s Ford Coyote 5.0 engine has been completely rebuilt and paired with a 4R70 4-speed transmission, a custom-built serpentine system that barks through a 3” performance exhaust. As many automotive specialists know, when vehicles sit for decades, wiring is often the first to suffer. Velocity has taken care of that problem with a complete restoration of the vehicle’s electronics —along with the implementation of some cool contemporary entertainment and climate systems.

Racing With the Wind

For the vehicle’s exterior, a sleek jet-black PPG Paint job compliments newly configured front and rear steel bumpers. The truck’s Cooper Discoverer tires don’t just look great, they add a key assist on trail runs atop the Slot Mag wheels and along with the hard-top sliding window that can be adjusted for passenger comfort.

Heavy Metal Thunder

Sparse would be the politest way to describe the way Ford engineers equipped the Bronco when it came off the lot in 1976. Thankfully, this restoration has provided contemporary drivers with the tools they need for today’s road. A Dakota digital gauge cluster allows for instantaneous evaluation of RPMs while an Ididit steering column provides a more precise steer. Add to that a rebuilt air conditioning system and refurbished high back front seats and you’re good to go. It's also got a robust GPS mapping system and Bluetooth audio connection so you'll never be without reliable sights and sounds.

Looking for Adventure

This ’76 Bronco’s rear fold-and-tumble seat allows for ample cargo space or room or comfortable and safe room for two additional passengers on your way to the beach or surf spot. It’s also got a stylish four-point roll cage that can double as a surfboard or mountain bike transport when properly equipped —truly an adventure vehicle that furthers the adventure.

Explode into Space

Much has been made about Ford’s forthcoming re-release of the Ford Bronco in 2020, although despite the fanfare, it’s doubtful the new Bronco will be able to provide the vintage look and classic power of these originals. Professional rebuilds of Ford Broncos like this 1976 and many others in their stable have helped to make Velocity Restorations a premier name in automotive restoration, one that will likely carry Ford Bronco’s heritage into quite a few action sequels.
