Super Snake F-150 Sport is a 750HP Behemoth

You'd usually expect performance numbers like this in a Mustang guise, but now get those numbers with the convenience of a truck's load box utility.

A big Super Snake

Shelby automotive is best known for its radically powerful Mustang models but here we have quite the creation. The Shelby brand also realizes that trucks are a significant part of Ford’s business and has produced this overpowered version of the F-150 truck. True to Shelby's way of life, this F-150 carries the Super Snake moniker and for good reason.

A truck for the track

The Shelby Super Snake F-150 has a host of impressive modifications – and these are all with the goal of creating a true high-performance truck. It might be more suited to the track than the trail, but Shelby has relished the challenge of taking a truck chassis to the limits of performance.

Where there is smoke - there is fire

The haze in this image is not natural. It is created by the tire-shredding potential of the Shelby F-150 Super Snake. This is a hugely powerful truck capable of performance that is usually only the preserve of supercars. If you want to have a supercharged V8 Mustang’s performance, with the practicality of a load box, the Shelby F-150 Super Snake is a great solution.

Front end means business

The F-150 Super Snake has a very purposeful stance and appearance riding lower than a factory F-150. The hood is custom fabrication, with additional cooling ducts. It also sports a redesigned front grille and bumper. One of the crucial functions of these styling upgrades is to allow the highest volume of cooling airflow into the F-150 Super Snake’s engine bay.

A truck where aero is paramount

An integrated load box cover helps to counter aerodynamic drag behind the cab. And considering the speeds this F-150 is capable of, that is an important feature. The tailgate also features a gurney-flap type spoiler, to ensure that the faster you go, the more downforce is applied to the Super Snake’s rear axle.

Red brakes are just better

The Shelby Super Snake truck rolls on hefty 22-inch alloy wheels shod with low-profile rubber. The tire specification is to ensure superior lateral grip in the corners, instead of providing air-volume for carrying large loads. Behind those 22-inch wheels, are impressive brakes featuring six-piston calipers to actuate those large rotors. Balancing the Shelby F-150 Super Snake’s ride quality and stability requirements are coil-over suspension components, at each wheel corner.

It can coil and slide like a true Cobra

There aren’t many trucks that can drift this effortlessly on the tarmac and the Shelby Super Snake is a credible exception. The truck’s most impressive feature is, without doubt, its engine. For those Ford fans who desire a V8-powered high-performance truck and are not taken by the Raptor’s 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine, the Shelby F-150 is a great solution. It transplants a supercharged V8 engine, of Ford’s structure but Shelby’s tuning, into the truck platform. Power peaks at 755hp, which means that this Shelby F-150 Super Snake is a tremendously quick utility vehicle.
