Mild is Beautiful

Wild, over-the-top custom Ford trucks are typically the ones that get all the press in big-time publications. These are the trucks that get people's attention, of course, and win awards at all the major shows. But truthfully, early Ford trucks are so awesome as is that we're not so sure you have to chop them up to make them cool. Case in point - this awesome, mostly stock '56 F-100 we found over at Mecum Auctions.

No Expense Spared

For starters, we'd argue that the 1956 Fords are the best-looking trucks of all-time. And this one isn't afraid to show off those gorgeous curvy lines after undergoing what the seller calls a "no expense spared restoration." And we believe them, because the paint and chrome on this thing look absolutely flawless.

Perfection Personified

The same goes for the inside, which has been lovingly retrimmed to its original condition. Everything, from the door panel fasteners to the horn button on the steering wheel, looks absolutely perfect and brand new. And quite spartan, save for the factory heater and defroster.

Clean Enough to Eat off Of

Pop the hood, and you'll find one of the most sanitary engine bays you'll ever lay eyes on. The original 272 V8 is present and accounted for, and looking rather nice covered in green paint with silver valve covers. It's so clean in here that you'll probably be cursing those surprise pop up thunderstorms if you're ever out driving in one.

Easy Choice

No, they certainly don't get much nicer than this beautiful '56 F-100. Rolling on modest steel wheels with center caps and white walls, it packs the sort of timeless looks that'll never go out of style. So go ahead and keep your wild customs - we'd take this mild old Ford over them any day of the week!
