Here is the Regular Cab Ranger caught out on the streets testing by spy photographers. See what we've surmised from some uncomfortably tight zoom in shots of the pickup.

Well, hello there!

Here is the 2019 Ranger spotted out and about wrapped in camo, and looking like the Regular Cab. This isn't the first time the Ranger has been seen testing, but it's the first time we've seen the Regular Cab work truck version of the long awaited pickup and of the two-door design.

Familiar but different

The truck is out rocking a new front end that will not only be seen here for the Ranger's return, but will serve as a refresh for the models that are already on the market overseas. On either side of that new grille are the new low-key headlights that go without the C-shaped models found on the F-series and most of the Ford stable.

Regular cab will be irregular on the market

Ford is aiming squarely at the competition with this vehicle that will be available in the two-door design we see here. The Chevy Colorado, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma are not available in this cab configuration. If that trend persists then the Blue Oval will, in fact, be the ONLY brand in that segment with a Regular Cab on the market.

Maybe we'll see it come January?

With the pristine condition that the undercarriage is in, we surmise that the stateside Ranger is awfully close to being finished. This, of course, is all to be taken with a grain of salt, however,  as the NAIAS is right around the corner in 2018 where we could finally see the truck disguise-free.

What else might be on the Ranger?

Ford has already confirmed that the 2019 Ranger will be a body-on-frame truck that is already in place on the Ranger that's available in other regions of the world. The engines for the Ranger will most likely have at the very least one EcoBoost gas engine that could be the 2.5-liter inline 4 and the new NA 3.3-liter V6. A third engine option could be the 2.3-liter turbo EcoBoost that's found in the Mustang or even some diesel variant.
