Simon Cowell may have a earned his reputation as a tough critic, but his taste in vehicles appears to be impeccable.
Great Taste
Simon Cowell has made a name for himself over the years by judging talent on all sorts of TV shows, from American Idol to America's Got Talent. And while many dislike Cowell for his oftentimes abrasive opinions, it does look like he's got excellent taste in cars. Because his personal '77 Bronco, which we spotted over at Barrett-Jackson, is quite the cool ride.

Fitting Choices
The beautiful black Bronco restomod certainly looks like a top-notch build, but we'd expect nothing less from such a tough critic. The triple black treatment seems like an appropriate match for Cowell's personality, too. But is also looks quite sinister, especially after a solid sized lift and the addition of some modern XD series wheels, which are wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.

All Ford
Thankfully, Cowell also had the smarts to keep his Ford all-Ford. Under the hood, you'll find a crate 302 V8 producing 340 horsepower. The engine/engine bay features a host of goodies including an Edelbrock intake, Holley carb, ceramic headers, aluminum radiator, and electric distributor. The Ford mill breathes through a 2.5" Magnaflow exhaust, and undoubtedly sounds good doing so.

Luxurious Threads
The custom interior of this Bronco has also received a host of modern updates, including some rather comfy looking leather seats. Leather also covers the roll bar for a bit of extra luxury. Other highlights here include a Pioneer stereo supporting sound to lots of speakers, which is something you'd certainly expect from a man who's made his money judging plenty of music-making artists.

Capable Components
Cowell's Bronco rests on a set of James Duff springs, which help it sit right and handle uneven surfaces. It also stops in a hurry, thanks to a set of Wilwood brakes that have been installed at all four corners. With Line-X coated floors and a host of quality components, we have no doubt this Bronco is quite a capable machine. Even if it's never seen a dirt road in its life.

Endearing Qualities
Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Simon Cowell is a talented, um, talent finder who isn't afraid to speak his mind. But personally, we're just happy to learn that he's got some great taste in vehicles. And we have no doubt that attaching his name to this sweet Bronco will make it even more valuable to the right person who appreciates both.
