Shagadelic Ford F-100 Screams the '70s
Daily Slideshow: The 1970s are long gone, but somebody forgot to tell this amazingly well-preserved F-100.
The Fabulous '70s
Even if you weren't around in the '70s, you probably know all about that decade's questionable fashion choices. And we aren't just talking about things like bell-bottom pants and ruffled shirts. No, we're referring to all the many interesting things people did to their trucks during those days.
By the looks of things, every single of those cliches has been applied to this time capsule 1977 Ford F-100 up for grabs at Volo Auto Sales. And sure, some might hate it. But you have to admit, there's something charming about this incredible ride.
True Time Capsule
The '70s, particularly later in the decade, were a very popular time to modify trucks. Mostly because cars had become so incredibly dull and slow. Thus, you saw highly modded pickups like this Ford F-100 on a regular basis. But in this case, it looks like somebody did all the work and then stored the truck away for decades!

Turn-Key Custom?
This old truck has only 17,398 miles showing on the odometer. According to the seller, it was also purchased new in this same condition. The conversion was done by a company called Gemco for a Ford dealership, who then offered it up as a turn-key custom for customers.

Factory Fresh
The only part of this F-100 that wasn't touched, in fact, is the engine bay. There you'll find the original 351, which still sports all the factory markings and stickers.

Take it Back
Step in the cab, however, and you'll instantly be transported to a different era. Just look at those brown Naugahyde high back swivel bucket seats! They look like something that your parents/grandparents probably still have sitting in their living room.

Shagadelic, Literally
Of course, this custom F-100 wouldn't be complete without thick brown shag carpet. So there are miles of that going on in the cab, too, all the way up to the roof. A custom center console rounds out the old school package. Heck, there's even an equalizer to get those old disco tapes sounding right.

Making a Statement
Then there's the exterior. No one would ever mistake this pickup for being built in a different decade, that's for sure. Dark nectarine brown paint and custom graphics cover the perfect panels, fitted with loads of custom parts, including a giant chrome push bar and yellow fog lights up front.
