Twisted Perception

Every once in a while, we come across a vehicle that looks more like a toy than the real thing. And this incredible 1977 Ford Bronco, which we spotted while perusing listings at Barrett-Jackson, is such a machine. The pictures alone are enough to play with your perception, making you wonder if this is merely some high-dollar piece of jewelry or model. But in fact, it is the real thing - a high-quality restoration worthy of hanging on the wall.

Painstaking Detail

The idea behind this Bronco build was to create something that placed an emphasis on top-level craftsmanship. And needless to say, that goal was achieved rather handily. Of course, the Bronco has undergone a full restoration, which involved putting the body on a rotisserie and replacing every single nut and bolt. But there's far more to the story than that.

Fabricated Art

A ton of custom fabrication went into the build, including the process of removing the firewall, raising it, and welding it to the windshield frame. The engine bay itself is a work of art, with a Coyote V8 placed on prominent display and adorned with matching paint and plenty of polished accents.

Custom Everything

The fully custom interior features a one-off roll cage, fabricated metal dash and center console, and super soft Ultraleather covering the seats, door panels, kick panels, and center console. Brown seat belts and carpets were added to provide a little nice contrast, which they do very well.

Super Smooth

The builders of this beautiful Bronco went to great lengths to eliminate seams on the body panels, including welding the rear quarter ends to the quarter panels. They also fabricated custom metal fender flares, which were then welded to the body for a factory-like appearance.

Quirks and Features

Additional exterior details include new custom wipers with chrome motors, chrome mirrors, a 1967 Bronco silver front grille, Oracle LED headlights, chrome tow hooks, 1967 Camaro chrome front bumper, 1969 Camaro chrome rear bumper, polished aluminum door hinges, and electric and illuminated running boards. The whole thing was then coated in PPG Deltron Harley-Davidson Root Beer Brown over a black base coat.

Ultra Clean

A brand new, push-button operated Ford 4R70W 4-speed transmission provides easy cruising. It sends power back to a rebuilt transfer case and Ford 9-inch positraction rear end with 4.56 gears. As you might imagine with a build of this quality, the undercarriage is highly detailed and painted to provide a stellar appearance worthy of the finest car shows.

Tasty Combo

Rounding out this tasty combo is a lift kit, custom trailering arms, Rancho shocks, and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. Altogether, this Bronco offers up one heck of a nice package, both in its components and the quality of work. Personally, we'd be afraid to get it dirty. But then again, isn't that what they were designed to do in the first place?
