Crazy Creation

The Polaris RZR has quickly become one of the most popular side-by-sides on the planet, mostly thanks to its incredible capability and powerful drivetrains. And while the RZR also looks pretty cool, we can't help but admire this amazing example fitted with a vintage Ford Model T body. Built by CD Motorsports, this awesome creation took a reported 1,000 hours to complete, but we think that work was 100% worth it.

Standing Out

The thing is, RZRs are everywhere on the trails of America, thanks to their overwhelming popularity. Thus, the owner of this rig and purveyor of CD Motorsports - Larry Bruns - set out to make his stand out from the crowd. The result is something truly special - a vintage Model T body mated to a custom fabricated chassis and a RZR powerplant.

Custom Touches

The more you look at this wild rig, the more custom details become apparent. Bruns equipped his ride with a hand fabricated roll cage, beer can shock reservoirs and loads of other little unique touches. And then there's the bodywork, which took up the bulk of those 1,000 hours of labor.

Chop Away

Fitting a Model T body to a small UTV chassis obviously required a ton of work. Bruns lopped seven inches off the cab and then tucked the floor by three inches, which was enough material removal to make it fit perfectly on the new chassis.

Capable Rig

You won't find any tiny stock tires here, either - just a set of meaty Maxxis Carnivore off-road tires that help make it even more capable, as we can clearly see in this video. What's even cooler is that Bruns notes that he's working on making his rig street-legal, which is something we can't wait to see.

Roadworthy

The interior certainly looks roadworthy, with a custom dash holding RZR gauges and even a set of cupholders. Cool details are everywhere inside the cabin as well and include a stove shovel that's been repurposed as a gas pedal and an airbox that holds tools in case things go sideways on the trails.

Dare to be Different

Bruns admits that he set out to build something different from the thousands of UTVs out there in the world, and we can confidently say that he did just that. It also just so happens to be the coolest one we've come across, too.
