She's a Rad Tomato
This expertly restored 1956 Ford F-100 has an unforgettable look —and it’s not just because of its awesome orange patina exterior and rebuilt engine. 1956 was, in fact, the last year Ford utilized the now-timeless rounded edges on their truck’s exterior, paving the way for a more squared look that would carry Ford trucks into the next three-and-a-half decades of truck design.

Will I Never Meet Her?
Ford’s most popular truck design, the F-150, has its roots in this classic design, one that has been retooled to harness history and maintain the reliability and power of a daily driver. In fact, this 1956 Ford F100 body sits on a 1999 Ford Explorer frame and drive train —giving it plenty of power and stability whether you’re heading to your favorite campground or surf site.

Have You Seen Her Come Around?
The truck is powered by a Ford 5.0 fuel-injected engine with paired with an automatic transmission and a modern suspension that belies its vintage look. Well maintained and garage stored, the truck runs and drives like it's brand new —probably since it is. A scant 200 miles have been put on the truck since the completion of its restoration.

My Crush With Eyeliner
This '56 F100 looks like a beater to the untrained eye, but automotive connoisseurs and restomod fans will immediately recognize that it's a plush labor of love when they see how the truck bed’s vintage dents and dings give way to a wood-inlaid Bedliner —safe and sturdy enough to transport all your gear.

She's Her Own Invention
The movable, off-body rear tail lamps are another cool feature of this imaginative rebuild. They don’t only give the truck personality but also allow you to open its outward folding bed door. By 1958, the Ford F100 would debut with a new “eggcrate” style grille and quad-style headlights. In fact, all Ford cars and trucks would debut a four-headlight setup in 1958. That means getting behind the wheel of this throwback truck doesn’t just allow you to stand out among vintage truck fans, but also gives you a cool story to tell about Ford truck history as well!
