Lifted Second-Gen Bronco Looks Picture Perfect
They don't get much nicer than this immaculate Bronco.
Picture Perfect
The second-gen Ford Bronco has developed a reputation for being one of the coolest SUVs ever built, as well as one of the more elusive, thanks to its two-year production run. These days, that interest from collectors and enthusiasts alike has driven prices skyward, but it has also resulted in some seriously beautiful builds like this amazingly clean 1979 Ford Bronco we recently spotted over at Classic Car Studio.

Reuse and Recycle
Classic Car Studio started with a rust-free 1979 Bronco sourced from California, then stripped it down and refinished everything, including the frame. Most of the trim was apparently in good enough shape to simply refinish and reuse, but only the front and rear bumpers are not original to the Bronco.

Clean and Tidy
The interior retains many of its original bits and pieces as well, but the seat covers and carpets were replaced with new ones. New rubber was installed to provide a pristine look and keep the wind and leaks out, and everything reportedly works perfectly, including the rear window.

Big Motor
Where Classic Car Studios didn't hold back with this build, however, is under the hood. There, you'll find a Ford Motorsports 460 V8 that's been punched out to 580 cubic inches and fitted with aluminum Trick Flow heads, a Trick Flow intake, a 1050 Dominator Carb, MSD 6AL electronic ignition, custom headers, and a three-inch exhaust.

Beefy Drivetrain
The massive motor churns out over 600 horsepower, which it sends to either the rear or all four wheels via a C6 with a 2,500 rpm stall converter and a 9-inch rear end with Detroit Locker gears and Mark Williams rear axles.

Other Upgrades
Classic Car Studios didn't provide too many other details about this Bronco's suspension, only noting that it's "new from front to rear." Brakes are somewhat of a mystery as well, though they do utilize stainless steel lines. Regardless, it's clear that the big SUV has a lift kit at the very least, which makes room for some seriously meaty tires.

Total Package
This gorgeous-looking Bronco is one of the few builds we've come across that has so much invested under the hood, and that's precisely what makes it so cool. With plenty of power on tap and looks that kill, we can't imagine there are many cooler second-gens on the planet, but we'll keep looking for them, regardless.
