If Monsters Drove Ford

If Hollywood's most iconic monsters drove trucks, they would drive these Ford trucks. (A Halloween special.)

1. Dracula

Dracula is immortal, timeless, so there is no better Ford suited for him than the 1920's Model T. He probably upgraded to the Model A once it came out. Now he keeps those classic trucks in his cave and only strolls through the scenic areas at night, looking for the next victim to put under his spell. If he were to modify them, it would be to change the color to blood red and add some illegally tinted windows. Maybe even add a bigger bed to carry his coffin in case dawn breaks and he is nowhere near his castle.

2. Frankenstein's Monster

Frankenstein's monster is a tough one. He could either be driving a 1970's F-150 or a newer F-250 Super Duty Platinum. Both seem to have that boxy (squarish) look and ruggedness that can compliment him. Whichever one he prefers, he will probably be hauling around his camper, since people are always ready with their torches to run him out of town. Picturing this creature as a tall fella, probably some lift kits have crossed his mind.

3. Bride of Frankenstein

Most likely driving the opposite direction (as an independent woman) is the bride of Frankenstein's monster in a 1950's Ford Ranchero. You are probably wondering, "that is a strange choice," but something about this car screams her style. Besides, it does kind of resemble the 1960's Ford Thunderbird, and we all know what two ladies made that model popular. She might need to take the top off and turn it into a convertible for her hair to stick out in the wind.

4. The Wolf Man

The beast of all creatures needs to drive a beastly looking truck. In comes the 1954 V8 with its ferocious grille and its 130hp. Of course, his daily driver has got to be the SVT Lightning (or perhaps the Lobo). Whichever car he chooses to take a stroll in, the Wolf Man sitting in traffic is probably not a pretty sight.

5. The Mummy

What better truck can Imhotep be driving to search for his beloved than the Ford Raptor? The Mummy would need a ride that is built to get him from the paved roads to the sand dunes of Egypt without trouble. In the Raptor, he won't have to worry about his truck's capability to climb the sand, especially since he needs to keep a look out for Ankh-es-en-amun.

6. Gill-Man

Being a creature who lives in a lagoon, Gill-man can't venture far from the water. So, he can choose any 4x4 Ford truck he likes, but it would have to be modified to ride while submerged in water. He could possibly have set his aquatic eyes on the Ford Ranger. After adding all the necessary mods to keep his Ranger safe while in the water, he would hit those waters like his life depended on it.

Check out this video of a Ford Ranger water wading (pictured above).

7. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

These two are never on the same page, so it must be tough picking out practically anything when shopping. It is a good thing Ford has got them covered with the 1980's Durango. The Durango was released after the Ranchero came to its end, but both do have similar features. Surely, this two-passenger coupe/pickup has room to accommodate two personalities.
