Worth the Cost

These days, there are all sorts of gorgeous 2nd-gen Broncos popping up for sale. Mostly because, unfortunately, they're bringing big money at auction. And we imagine that'll be the case with this incredible looking '78 Bronco that we spotted over at Leake Auctions. But at least in this case, the buyer is likely getting one heck of a vehicle for what should be a large outlay of cash.

Color of Money

In addition to the fact that the 2nd gen Bronco is arguably the best-looking one ever made, this particular example is finished in a rather attractive Dark Jade Green and White color combo. And as a certain TV car show celebrity likes to say, green is the color of money. In this case, that'll probably apply in more ways that one.

Completing the Look

This Bronco looks to be in absolutely outstanding condition, though the auction listing is somewhat scant on details. But we know excellence when we see it. And we're also digging those aftermarket Pro Comp wheels and BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, which really complete the look.

Fresh Threads

The interior is no less stunning than the exterior. What appears to be the original threads just scream the '70s, and you won't find any rips or tears here. The rest of the inside is all green and faux wood trim, which was the norm in this era. And if most of this hasn't been replaced, it sure has been well preserved over the years, because it all looks brand new.

Modern Sound

In addition to the original style interior, the previous owner also added a RetroSound radio that both looks original and adds Bluetooth functionality. Thus, you don't have to go digging out your old 8-tracks if you want to listen to some tunes while you're out cruising around.

Dress Up

Under the hood, you'll find Ford's good old trusty 351 V8, which is backed up by a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine bay looks quite clean and has been treated to what appears to be an aftermarket intake, carb, and chrome air cleaner for a little dress up.

Appreciating Asset

Old Broncos certainly don't get much better, at least in our humble opinion. Throw on the right set of wheels and tires and add some sound, and you've got a vintage vehicle that you'll always want to drive. And you can bet that in the meantime, it's only going to go up in value, too.
