Bullnose Beauty

We come across our fair share of beautiful old Ford trucks on a daily basis. But rarely do we see examples from the "Bullnose" era of 1980-1986. This generation of Ford trucks isn't quite as popular as the ones that preceded it and followed it, and that's really a shame. Because as this gorgeous '83 F-250 we spotted at Hemmings proves, they can certainly be every bit as awesome as those other pickups.

Quite the Hauler

This particular F-250 is certainly quite the hauler, what with its Super Cab, long-bed configuration. The 3/4 ton pickup also has a nice Century Brand Camper out back in case you need to protect your cargo or take a nap while you're out on the road. And judging by the work that went into it, somebody obviously loved this truck very much, too.

Big Inches

Under the hood lies a fitting engine for such a large pickup - Ford's big-inch 460 V8. With 160k miles on the chassis but only 5k on the fresh engine, there's obviously a lot of life left in the gasser, too. It's backed up by an automatic transmission for easy cruising, sending power to all four wheels on demand.

Highway Cruiser

On the inside, this F-250 is well-equipped for long stretches of highway, too. You'll sit comfy in the leather seats while listening to a modern stereo system complete with Bluetooth and a backup camera. There's even a CB and NOAA weather radio so you can keep in touch with what's going on around you, too.

Long Haul

There are a lot of cool little touches that went into making this F-250 a long-range hauler. Things like a custom center console with cup holders, and a GPS unit that's also been installed. Someone even went to the trouble of installing a third seatbelt in the rear seat so the whole family of five can take a trip together.

Big Investment

According to the seller, this truck's restoration cost a whopping $50k to complete, and they've got the receipts to back up that claim. That's a lot of dough to invest in an '80s truck, but the results are quite stunning, to say the least. We certainly haven't seen a nicer Bullnose Ford than this in quite some time.

Fine Example

So if you dig '80s Blue Oval trucks, you needn't look any further to find a fine example of one. At least in our opinion, it's certainly time to start paying more attention to these handsome pickups. And we can't think of a better example to further our personal mission than this super fine F-250.
