Ford Truck Unrestored Barn Finds

Some people love fully restored classic Ford trucks, while others like completely modified rat-rods, but everyone loves an unrestored barn find.

1. 1951 F1

The 1951 Ford F1 was the descendants of the 1948 F1; a start of the legendary line of trucks.  These trucks came with a base engine sized 226 cubic-inches flathead V-6, which delivered whooping 95 horsepower. In 1951, the Ford truck received a face-lift in the form of an all-new grille that featured a large horizontal bar with three teeth shaped bullets across of it. This year saw the start of the use of hardwood floors in the bed, which replaced the previous steel finish. This truck still wears all of its components proud, with peeling paint that shows it has been around the block.

2. 1949 F1

Only the second year of the legendary F1, the 1949 model was almost identical to the previous and first year. For this year, the F1's grille's bars were painted silver. Also in this model, the wheels were painted to match the truck's body color, on opposed to the year before when it was painted black. After 68 years of hard work, whoever owns this truck refuses to paint it again; battle wounds should always be worn with pride.

3. 1960 F-100

The Ford F-100 was the start of something huge, as it was the very first year Ford produced a 4x4 truck. It all started in 1959 when buyers were able to buy the light-duty Ford F-100, which came with a 292 cubic-inch Y-block V8 engine as a stock option. 1960 was nearly identical to the year prior, with only minor changes; like the lower grille that then touched the bumper. This truck is hanging out with its old buddies for the rest of its life, just like old times.

4. 1956 F-100

In an attempt to compete with the quickly-evolving Chevy truck, Ford decided to modernize their F-100 for the 1956 year. This is the year Ford introduced their wraparound windshields, but that wasn't the only upgrade the legendary brand gave their pickups; the interior also received a restyled dashboard that gave the cabin a much more pleasant look. This year, the Ford F-100 inherited the engine from the year prior, which was a six-cylinder motor as a base, or an eight-cylinder engine as an option. This truck is like the old farmer that knows everything about the town, with tons of stories to tell, and even more, memories to keep.

5. 1950 F6

A hard worker with over 67 years under its belt, the 1950 F6 Ford truck originally sold for $1,673. Powering this power-horse is Ford's flathead V-8 engine, which moved a ton worth of truck, plus whatever went on its bed. This truck has been getting more popular in the recent years, and the small price tag it originally came with no longer applies. This ol' rusty truck has been sitting next to this barn its whole life, and now it's part of the barn and the barn is part of the truck; you can't separate life-long friends. The barn find will forever stay in the barn.
