Ford's Sydney Sweeney Apparel Line Sells Out Quickly
Sydney Sweeney and her first-generation Ford Bronco have become quite popular.
Perfect Pairing
Just a few weeks ago, The Blue Oval brought its "Built Ford Proud" ad campaign, this time with a handful of famous folks including professional stunt driver Dee Bryant, world champion big wave surfer Kai Lenny, and Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney, who has risen to fame via Euphoria and The White Lotus. However, Sweeney recently gained a ton of notoriety among automotive enthusiasts by documenting the restoration of her first-generation Ford Bronco on social media, prompting FoMoCo to partner with her on a new clothing line, which proved to be quite popular.

Proving Popular
The clothing line - Ford x Sydney Sweeney - was made in partnership with Dickies, and is designed to encourage women to pursue their dreams and work on cars, just like its namesake. It's intended to be both fun and functional, with some lighter colors thrown in for good measure. Turns out, there's apparently a large, budding group of female gearheads out there that approve, because this collection sold out in a mere 31 hours, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Started With a Project
For now, the collection consists of bib overalls, work pants, a bandana, and a baseball hat, all with Ford logos and "Syd's Garage" emblazoned on them. It's amazing to think that this all started with Sweeney's posts about her 1969 Ford Bronco on TikTok, which have since garnered over 1.6 million followers and 6.7 million likes.

Blue Oval Passion
For Ford, Sweeney's popular Bronco restoration was the perfect opportunity to partner with someone that already has a built-in fanbase and show that anyone is capable of wrenching on cars and even restoring them. It's also the perfect fit for their "Built Ford Proud" campaign, which seeks to show off the folks that are passionate about the brand, too.

Perfect Fit
"Our merchandise is just another way of connecting with people who love Ford and our iconic brands," said Michael O’Brien, Ford's director of global marketing. "Seeing our customers’ enthusiasm for outdoor apparel made for off-roading in their Broncos, attending a racing circuit with a sea of fans in Ford Performance racing jackets, and hearing about young women who are inspired to work on their car for the first time because of Sydney Sweeney’s workwear line is so moving - and it’s what this is all about.”

Basic Maintenance Tutorials
In addition to documenting the restoration of his old Bronco, Sweeney also makes videos showing people how to perform simple maintenance tasks on their own vehicles, such as changing the oil, checking tire pressure, and jumping a dead battery. The idea here is to help those that may not know how to maintain their cars do so in a new way, one that's a bit more appealing to today's youth.

Restock Coming
As for the Ford x Sydney Sweeney apparel collection, The Blue Oval is currently working to restock its virtual store with those items and is accepting pre-orders now. Those goods are expected to ship by June 15, so those interested in picking some up will want to act soon!
