Annual Treat

We Ford truck fans have more than our fair share of events and shows to attend each year. But for 41 years now, few have managed to top the F-100 Supernationals. With the gorgeous mountains of Tennessee as a backdrop, this event annually draws thousands of beautiful rides to Pigeon Forge.

Thankfully, Automobile was in attendance this year, and provided us with dozens of cool trucks to drool over. Here are our favorites of the bunch.

Enduring Popularity

Every October, Ford truck fans from 23+ states make the scenic trip to the F-100 Supernationals. And aside from the trucks, there are plenty of reasons this event enjoys such enduring popularity.

Lots of Amenities

Pigeon Forge is a big-time tourist town, which means it has lots of great shopping, attractions, and excellent places to eat. You can stay in a log cabin, enjoy all those amenities, and even devour some killer fudge. Where else can you do all that and attend one of the greatest truck shows around?

Something for Everyone

The trucks in attendance at each F-100 Supernationals are as diverse as the reasons to visit Pigeon Forge. We spotted everything from wild, tubbed Pro Streeters to stock vintage pickups, and pretty much every generation and iteration in between.

Hard Work Pays Off

The event officially runs Thursday through Sunday, but festivities kick off on Friday morning. There, you get to see a bunch of special rides making their public debuts, which, of course, makes all those long hours put in by the builders well worth it.

Endless Beauty

The vast majority of trucks in attendance are certainly magazine quality. There are simply rows upon rows of immaculate rides, as far as the eye can see.

We're All Winners

With so many awesome trucks in attendance, handing out awards is certainly a tough task. So the F-100 Supernationals makes up for it with a whopping 100 different class trophies along with a pair of rides that get to claim the glory of best overall.

Bonus Prizes

And if that isn't enough reason to attend, this year saw a whopping $5,000 in door prizes given away, which is a nice bonus for any family vacation.

Notable Winners

This year, the top prize of all went to Ron Bibey and his lifted 1977 F-250. Jim and Sandy Boruff claimed F-100 Truck of the Year with their street machine 1968 F-100. And one of the cooler trucks in attendance, a 1953 F-100 with only 8 miles on the odometer, took home the Classic Trucks Editor’s Choice trophy.
