Ford and Microsoft Team Up For This Forza Motorsports 7 Raptor
The Ford Raptor has been a video game favorite since its inception. But this latest real-life example might be the best video game off-roader yet.
1. Real-Life Video Game Raptor
To celebrate the launch of its latest video game console, the Xbox One X, Microsoft teamed up with Ford to build this incredible custom Ford Raptor. The modified truck carries a host of goodies, including custom bumpers, wheels, and chase rack. A Fabtech 6-inch lift kit adds a bit of clearance underneath, where you'll also find upgraded Alcon brakes. Performance enhancements include an Addictive Desert Designs intercooler and Ford Performance Borla exhaust. And, of course, the whole thing is painted up with custom graphics and fitted with LED lights emitting Xbox’s signature green.

2. SEMA Star
The finished product was on display at the 2017 SEMA show, where it attracted more than its fair share of gawkers. And even though you won't exactly be able to take the show truck for a spin, you will be able to drive it virtually early next year in Forza 7. Which makes sense, considering the longstanding history Microsoft has with the Raptor.
“We have long enjoyed and valued our partnership with Ford Performance and feel privileged to work with them on the incredible F-150 Raptor, an iconic American legend,” said Mike Humphreys, Senior Director, Business and Partnerships for Forza Franchise, Turn 10 Studios. “The Ford Raptor is built on top of another iconic legend, the Ford F-150 pickup, resulting in technical excellence and off-road innovations that make it a Forza fan favorite.”

3. Two Peas in a Pod
The relationship between Ford and the Microsoft's gaming console goes back nearly a dozen years, to be exact. In fact, it goes back to the very first Forza Motorsport title and the original Xbox. The original F-150 Raptor made its video game debut in the iconic racing game way back when. Today, Forza features more Ford models than any other video game.

4. Special Anniversary
2017 also marked the 15th anniversary of the Xbox, which Forza celebrated by giving away a pair of special in-game versions of the 2017 F-150 Raptor. The truck featured unique 15th anniversary livery celebrating the achievement. And considering the relationship between Ford and Microsoft, it only seemed fitting that they choose the F-150 Raptor to show it off!

5. Gaming Pays Off (Sometimes)
Forza isn't the only Xbox franchise to be associated with the Ford Raptor, either. Back in 2013, Microsoft teamed up with Ford to build this special Halo 4 edition Raptor. The truck, customized by Galpin Auto Sports, was treated to a full-on custom paint job, Whipple supercharger, and Magnaflow exhaust. And of course, an Xbox gaming system inside to keep your occupants entertained. Even better, the lucky winner of the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge online gaming contest got to take this bad boy home! So despite what your mother once told you, playing video games can pay off, after all.
