Daily Slideshow: For the Subtle Trucker in All of Us
Mike Dillehay's Ford F-250 finds the perfect blend of Merc's S-Class comfort with the Ford Blue Oval Bravado!
The Truck for the Done-It-All, Seen-It-All
As the owner of No Limit Fabrication, a Southern California company specializing in cold air intakes for 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstroke Diesels, Mike Dillehay has thoroughly explored the diesel world. When it came time for this Ford truck loyalist to build a new daily driver, Dillehay purchased a brand new, fully loaded, 4-wheel drive 2017 F-250 King Ranch. Instead of building a 1,000 horsepower dyno king, a drag truck, or a sled puller, Dillehay focused on a more well-rounded and balanced build. This is one truck I can't wait to share.

Blue Jeans Baby
Dillehay's F-250 wears Blue Jeans Metallic paint, a real stunner in the F-Series color palette. To create a more cohesive scheme, Dillehay color-matched as much of the body as possible. The color-matched bumpers, mirror cars, and trim pieces make this one suave truck. Rigid Industries Dually floodlights and Retro Shop headlights improve visibility in low-light conditions.

Enough Grunt to Get the Job Done
With balance in mind, Dillehay stayed away from his usual tricks for a 1,000 horsepower build. As expected, Dillehay supported his own brand and swapped the OEM intake for a No Limit Stage 2 intake. The cooled air is first sent to an aftermarket 76mm turbo from Precision Turbo and Engine before it heads towards the stock turbo.

If Some is Good, More is Better
Incorporating a second turbo meant the tuning also needed to be worked-over. Tyrant Diesel added an EZ Lynk performance tune and after some collaboration with 805 Diesel in Camarillo, CA, Dillehay's F-250 makes 640 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Plenty of go-pedal for a refined daily driver.

Polished All Around
With the intake process maximized, Dillehay sought to improve the exhaust aspect of his new play-thing. An MBRP stainless exhaust system exits behind the rear passenger tire and booms through polished 5-inch dual exhaust tips.

Gaining Traction
With the 6.7L Powerstroke pushing harder than ever, it was necessary to ensure the truck its power to the ground in a safe way. Precision Metal Fab Stage 2 traction bars help put the power to the pavement. The quieter nature of the polyurethane bushings is a by-product of Precision's product.

Tall But Not Obnoxious
To give his F-250 more road presence, Dillehay installed a 4.5 inch Alpha lift kit from Precision Metal Fab. Coupled with the lift are King Off-Rad Racing shocks with 3.0 coilover shocks in the front. Dual steering stabilizers with 2-inch dampers settle things out up front.

Slight Improvements
Dillehay opted to keep the stock leaf springs in place but improved the rear shocks thanks to King 2.5 inch single bypass shocks.

Undeniable Curb Appeal
Although this isn't the most drastic build we've ever seen, it might top the list as one of the most desirable. The 350's mix of practicality, sensibility, and presence takes it to the top of my list.
