Flashback Friday: 1962 F-100 Was a 2,000 Hour Build
This truck might not be to everyone's taste but you can't deny that a lot of work has gone into it. If it's taken your fancy, then you might want to place a bid when it goes up for auction.
Rare
The custom 1962 Ford F-100 pickup pictured above is about to go up for auction. The fact that this is a custom build isn't the only thing that makes it uncommon; this model has a panoramic rear cab window and a unibody short box: a very rare configuration.

Custom Build
This custom build took approximately 2,000 hours, and it shows. Its previous owner fabricated new tubular cross members, and the original frame rails have been C notched and fully boxed.

A Beautiful Powerplant
Keeping this truck flat through the bends is TCI tubular Mustang II front suspension, and 4-link rear suspension. This model also features Air Ride suspension.

Drivetrain
This F-100 sits on 20-inch Foose Nitrous II wheels. These alloys are attention-grabbing, but whether they're to everyone's liking is another matter entirely.

Suspension
Propelling this custom pickup is a 396 ci Ford Windsor engine. This unit pumps out an impressive 475 horsepower. All of this model's power is sent through a JW built Turbo 400 automatic transmission.

This F-100 is a multiple award winner. One of its titles includes 'Best Truck of Show' at Calgary World of wheels. It's also been featured in multiple magazines.

Wheels
What lies under this pickup's hood is arguably more impressive than its exterior. It features an aluminum engine cover, inner fender wall, and custom air intake. It's also been fitted with Kaase cylinder heads.
